Hill station
Patnitop
Jammu & Kashmir, India
About Patnitop
Patnitop sits at around 2,000 m on a ridge between Udhampur and Ramban. Since the Chenani–Nashri tunnel opened in 2017, through traffic bypasses it, so the plateau is quieter than it used to be. Summers bring green meadows and walks through deodar and pine forest; winter usually brings snow from December to February. Sanasar, a cup-shaped meadow about 17 km away, is known for paragliding, and Nathatop above Patnitop has views of the Pir Panjal.
