About Chamera Lake
Chamera Lake was created by the Chamera Dam on the Ravi, built by NHPC for hydroelectric power. The long, blue reservoir winds through steep green hills below Dalhousie. Himachal Tourism runs boating in season, and the lake makes a calm stop on the Dalhousie–Chamba road. The Bhalei Mata temple is in the hills nearby.
