About Bir Billing
Billing, at about 2,400 m, is the take-off site, and Bir, about 14 km below, is the landing site. The pair hosted the Paragliding World Cup in 2015 and is one of the best-known flying sites in Asia. Bir has a Tibetan colony with several monasteries, including Chokling and the larger Sherabling Monastery nearby. Tandem flights with licensed pilots run in the flying season, roughly October–November and March–May; flying stops during the monsoon.

By road: about 145 km from Pathankot via Kangra and Baijnath, around 4 hours. By train: Ahju station on the Kangra Valley Railway is close by. Nearest airport: Kangra (Gaggal).
